HAS CAPITALISM FAILED?

Over the last 100 years cronyism has slowly replaced capitalism. Now the wannabe tyrants have the gall to tell us that capitalism never worked. The tyrants and wannabe tyrants have always considered the wealth required to sustain and enhance our lives to be “nature's bounty.” They see economics as a problem of the distribution of “nature's bounty” instead of the creation of wealth. The President promises jobs yet ignores the purpose of jobs, the creation of wealth. It is simple for the…See More

THE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED TO BE OUR PRESIDENT

The problem with our Presidents has not been that they lacked the knowledge or ability to be President. The problem is that they pursued the wrong agenda. For over 100 years, few of our Presidents have understood the "free enterprise system" or believed that individual freedom was in the best interest of the country. Accordingly they pursued programs that increased government control of the economy and rewarded their political cronies (campaign contributors). Many have used government force to…See More

The Politics of Personal Destruction

The hearings to confirm Clarence Thomas’ appointment to the Supreme Court were ending. His opponents had been unable to find a flaw in his career or character that would deny him the appointment. When all else fails, the last refuge of the scoundrel engaged in the politics of personal destruction is a charge of sexual harassment. Why? Sexual harassment cannot be proven or disproven. The only evidence is “He said- She said”. Guilt or innocence just depends on who you believe and the sexual…See More

THE "OCCUPY WALL STREET" DEMONSTRATIONS REVISITED

The "Occupy Wall Street” type demonstrations against Capitalism should be held in the cemetery! Capitalism contracted a fatal disease (Congress created the ICC, Interstate Commerce Commission) in 1888. It remained on its death bed until the mid-1930’s when it passed away without fanfare. Upon its death Capitalism was replaced with Cronyism. The death of capitalism was never acknowledged and the Wannabe Tyrants…See More

William S Nelson commented on Felton Williamson, Jr.'s blog post 'THE ECONOMIC SYSTEM'
The purpose of the economy is to sustain society, and allow the society to remain viable over time. Each of us is a member of our society. To state that the economy only serves the individual leads, to the relegation of the rules of the society to a…

William S Nelson commented on Felton Williamson, Jr.'s blog post 'The Tyrant tries to consolate his power!'
This is a specifically misleading post. The government is going to enforec the "laws" on which they disagree, such as DOMA, but are not going to defend the consitutionality of the law in the federal courts. The government is not obligated…

The Tyrant tries to consolate his power!

EXECUTIVE DICTATORSHIP: OBAMA INSTRUCTS ADVISERS TO PUSH THROUGH STIMULUS PROJECTS WITHOUT PESKY ‘CONGRESSIONAL AUTHORIZATION’ On February 24, 2011 President Obama informed Congress that he would not enforce the laws that he disagreed with. Thus, Mr. Obama declared himself a Dictator? Is this our new form of government? A Dictator does not require the approval of Congress! Dictators don’t resign and dictators don’t allow free elections! The Tyrant is simply using the implementation of the 3rd…See More

THE ECONOMIC SYSTEM

The purpose of the economy is to create the wealth required to sustain and enhance our lives. To stimulate the economy, one must increase the production of wealth. To claim to stimulate the economy by providing jobs shows the basic misunderstanding of the economic system. Jobs require the use of energy and material. If the jobs failed to produce more wealth than they consume the economy is placed in decline and there are less goods and services available to sustain and enhance our lives. It is…See More

THE “OCCUPY WALL STREET” MOVEMENT

When a "Freedom Fighter" achieves a successful revolution the "Freedom Fighter" promises to implement a Constitution that guarantees individual freedom and free elections within a year. Within that year the "Freedom Fighter" consolidates power and reneges on that promise. The dictatorship is established. An historical exception to this natural progression was the American Revolution and George Washington. George Washington refused the Crown and the Constitution that guaranteed individual…See More
