Is the Left the "them"to which Springsteen (in Blinded By The Light) and I were referring? If so, perhaps our hitting them in the funny bone will show them up as lacking in humor.

That may be where they least expect it, but generally speaking people on the left are not amused--their funny bones are atrophied or well-padded or something.
